During the recent floods in the south of Thailand
residents of the Lan Pho market in Naklua, led by Aka Thai of Fix Gear shop,
collected total of 15,212 baht which they donated to Mayor Itthiphol
Kunplome at Pattaya City Hall to use as emergency funds when needed.
Pattaya Deputy Mayor Ronakit Ekasingh and Max Sieracki,
resident manager of the Amari Orchid Resort jointly cut the ribbon to
open the ‘Arts for the Planet’ exhibition which was held at the ICE bar of
the hotel recently. The environmental themed paintings will be on display
until August 7.
Management and staff of Dusit Thani Pattaya
participated for a charitable cause in the recent Pattaya King’s Cup Asian
Marathon 2011 held on July 17. The marathon is an annual event that takes
place in Pattaya and draws supporters from across the globe. Dusit Thani
Pattaya has been the official hotel of the event ever since its inception in
the resort city.
Representatives of the American International Assurance
(AIA) Co., Ltd. met with administrators of the Pattaya International
Hospital (PIH) recently to discuss ways to improve service for AIA
policy holders. The points of discussion were to implement the ‘Fax Claim’
service for both in and out patients. An agreement between the two parties
is forthcoming.
Fitness buff Harald Feurstein (front right), general
manager of the Hilton Pattaya led his team of energetic runners to
join more than 10,000 runners from many parts of the world in this year’s
Pattaya King’s Cup Asian Marathon 2011. Some even won medals as a reward for
their participation.
