Mike Shopping Mall collected blood donations while handing out
scholarships at a benefit for Queen Savang Vadhana Memorial Hospital.
250 people donated blood to the Red Cross, totaling 57,650cc.
Mike Group Managing Director Santana Mekavarakul presided over the May
21 event co-sponsored by the Banglamung Red Cross. She said the retailer
was aware of the national blood shortage and will organize blood drives
twice a year.
She also handed out 116 scholarships of 1,500 baht each to children of
Mike’s Group employees. The families live in several different locations
and their children attend several different local schools ranging from
nursery, high school, all the way up to college level.
Mike’s Group includes Mike Shopping Malls and Mike Orchid residences.
