
Nominees selected to
receive awards for their outstanding service to their communities.

Pattaya will recognize its most-outstanding citizens and
community groups for upholding royal values and working on behalf of
society at a ceremony this month.
Weerat Joijinda, president of the Kophai Community, presided over the
July 23 meeting at the Pattaya Social Development Department where 25
individuals and groups were selected to receive plaques and certificates
at an August ceremony. The exact date has not yet been set.
Weerat also led the interviews for nominees in three categories:
Individuals following HM the King’s “sufficiency economy” philosophy,
Outstanding Individual Contributions to Society, and Outstanding
Community Organization. Selections were made by a panel of seven judges.
Of the eight nominees for the sufficiency-economy category, three were
selected to receive plaques from Mayor Itthiphol Kunplome: Suphad
Thiempool from the Kophai Community, Kaewaring Inthachot from Wat
Chonglom Community and Phanoporn Ranghom from the Mabpradu Community.
The other five nominees - to be announced in August - will receive
certificates.
In the outstanding-individual group, eighteen were considered and five
selected to receive plaques: Patcharapon Charoenpol from the Sai
Community, Wanna Ngamsuwan from the Naklua Community, Ladda Yangtae from
the Soi 5 Thunwa Community, Kasem Juyaem from the Nongtabaek Community,
and Kularb Onyangyeun from the Wat Bunyakachanaram Community. Again, the
others will receive certificates.
Finally, the Sai Community was chosen as the top outstanding community
and will receive a plaque. One other group will receive a certificate.
