Five Cambodian fishermen in need of a fix were arrested for
allegedly threatening to kill their captain if he didn’t return to port
so they could buy drugs.
Sattahip District and Samae San local officials joined officers from the
Sattahip Command Center for Drugs Elimination in arresting Nueng, 35,
Serd, 22, Nat 23, Nak, 25 and Song, 30.
They were charged with use of methamphetamines, illegally entering the
kingdom and using a weapon to threaten bodily harm.
Samae San Moo 1 village chief Banjerd Janted said he was informed by the
captain of the Phitak Mongkol that the crewmen had tried to kill him
because they wanted to return to shore to buy drugs. The captain
obliged, but called authorities once they tied up.
