The carcass of a giant sea turtle washed ashore on South Pattaya’s Yim
Yom Beach, the victim of an apparent run-in with a boat.
The corpse of the turtle, which was about 30 years old and weighed 50 kg., was
found by a Russian tourist and dragged ashore, at which time authorities were
called, said Janthiporn Sirimongkol, 51, a vendor at the Pratamnak Hill beach.
The turtle showed signs of several injuries and part of its hard shell was
missing.
