Tourists drugged and robbed in Pattaya
A recent Reuters report has revealed a warning issued by
local police to tourists in the resort: Tourists are being robbed and killed
after being drugged during sex with prostitutes.
The warning followed a sharp rise in cases in which tourists have died of
heart failure originally thought to have been caused by drug use.
A 40 year old American, who requested anonymity, filed a complaint last week
in which he told police he had collapsed unconscious before having sex with
a prostitute and later woke up in a hospital bed.
Police quoted the victim, who lost over 200,000 baht in cash and valuables,
as saying he passed out after having licked the woman’s nipples.
