Banglamung undercover police arrested a suspected
long-time drug dealer after catching him selling crystal
methamphetamines Feb. 1.
Anand Jankesorn, 31, was taken into custody at the
intersection of sois Nemplabwan and Map Yai Lia 29 around 4 p.m. while
allegedly delivering a gram of ya ice to an undercover officer. Police
and Banglamung Permanent Secretary Pongsit Pitjanan swept in once money
was exchanged.
A subsequent search of Anand’s apartment turned up
4.5 additional grams of crystal meth.
Anand admitted to dealing ya ice for a long time and
gave up the name of his supplier, who he said he met in prison. Police
said he told them most of his customers were area youths.
