Five battalions of Royal Thai Navy vehicles and
personnel paraded in Sattahip to observe Veteran’s Day in Thailand.
The Air and Coastal Defense Command honored those
killed attempting to quell unrest in Thailand’s three Muslim-dominated
southern provinces and other fights. The parade saw 664 personnel and 89
vehicles march behind Capt. Sucha Kiamthongkam, the ACDC’s chief of
staff.
Among the armaments on parade were a 37 mm
anti-aircraft cannon, 40/70 mm anti-aircraft guns, shoulder fired
missiles, 155 mm cannons, radar systems, ambulances and more.
Rear Adm. Tarathorn Kachitsuwan, commander in chief
of the Air and Coastal Defense Command veteran’s squad, said the parade
showed off the military’s readiness, strength and discipline.
