A 29-year-old garbage man died after a bout of heavy
drinking to keep warm.
Weaw Thipkra-thok was discovered Jan. 6 in a shack
amongst a thicket of trees off Pratamnak Soi 5. His fully dressed body was
found sitting upright on a sofa, two empty bottles of cheap alcohol and an
unopened package of Mama noodles next to him.
Banyat Unkaew, a friend of the Phang-nga native, said
he’d last seen Weaw that morning. He’d already started drinking next to a
campfire, saying he was cold.
