Nong Nooch Tropical Garden gave mothers and children free
entrance to the Pattaya tourist attraction for Mother’s Day weekend
where elephants put on a show honor HM the Queen for her 82ndt birthday.
Director Kampol Tansajja opened the elephant shows Aug. 3, highlighted
by pachyderms Yok drawing the phrase “Elephants survive by the grace of
the mother of the land” with its trunk. The artistic pachyderm also
sketched out a heart and jasmine, the symbol of Mother’s Day.
The free Aug. 9-12 weekend for mothers also featured cultural shows,
music and free gifts, as well as an exhibit of rare photos of royal
missions conducted by HM Queen Sirikit.
