A drug sweep through Naklua led to several arrests by
Pattaya police for drug and weapons possession.
Nirut Tancharoen, 29, was captured during a sting
operation at his house shortly after midnight Nov. 30. Inside the
residence police found more than a gram of crystal methamphetamines,
supplies for selling packets of ya ice and a loaded Thai-made handgun.
Shortly after, investigators arrested Chanchai
Niewthong, 25, on Sukhumvit Road near the Luad Moo Khun Sri restaurant.
A search of his house uncovered 100 ya ba tablets.
Also picked up were 3 others who happened to be with
the alleged dealers.
