Acknowledging that Thailand’s flood crisis has left
many Thais feeling stressed, Pattaya’s Health and Environment Office
staged a “Mental Health Status Fair” as part of the country’s National
Mental Health Week.
The Nov. 29 fair at Central Festival Pattaya Beach
featured Dr. Chawit Tanwerachaikul, a psychiatrist from Wat
Yansangwararam Hospital and Channel 3 on-air personality Wimolpan
Chaleejangkan, as well as a performance from the Ad-lom Band.
Deputy Mayor Verawat Khakhay said the objective of
the event was to spread knowledge and guidelines on self discipline in
building emotional strength for people to overcome obstacles, live in
happiness and understand the importance of building a strong mind.
