The Sanctuary of Truth again will host a five-religion ceremony for
people of all faiths to express their devotion to Their Majesties the King
and Queen Dec. 6-9.
Manager Noppadol Phetrat said the observance for followers of Buddhism,
Christianity, Islam, Hindu and Sikh will let people express their loyalty to
the royal couple and engenders harmony and unity among people nationwide.
Last year, Privy Councilor Pichit Kullavanijaya presided over the ceremony
where 199 monks accepted alms, rice, and dried food. This year’s ceremony
starts at 9 a.m. Dec. 6.
Activities will continue throughout the day with an exhibition of HM the
King’s life and work, blood donations, health checkups for the elderly, and
education on how to follow the HM the King’s sufficiency-economy philosophy.
