Police are searching for a junk dealer who allegedly shot up a Sattahip
boxing gym after being denied entry because he was drunk.
Somsak Suasen, 25, allegedly fled into the woods behind the Sit Phu Pan Thoo gym
in Moo 5 village shortly after midnight Nov. 19 incident. Police accused him of
firing four 20 gage shotgun rounds into the gym owned by a nephew of Thailand
Defense Minister Prawit Wongsuwon.
Gym trainer Prayat Ruamjai said boxers were resting in the rooms when Somsak
came to the gym, drunkenly shouting challenges for fighters to meet him in the
ring.
Prayat said he refused to let Somsak into the gym, causing him to lose face. He
left, only to return a short time later with the shotgun.
