Nongprue senior citizens learned how to make artificial flowers as the
sub-district offered occupational training to help them boost their incomes.
Deputy Mayor Niyom Thiengtham opened the Nov. 14 occupational-training session
at the municipal office for 20 seniors. He said the workshop was to help them
earn money for daily expense as well as introduce them to new friends and allow
them to relax.
Participants were split into five groups with teachers providing theoretical and
practical training while keeping the environment light and enjoyable. The
flowers created can be sold and used at funerals.
