Police from three area stations are looking for a suspected
construction worker who raped a 16-year-old student in Plutaluang.
The girl, a student at a higher-education institute still in uniform,
was knocked off her motorbike, threatened at knifepoint and taken into a
cassava field at on Route 331 at the Khao Sichan, where she was molested
Nov. 28.
The suspect is described as being around 40 years old, thin and dark
with curly hair and was wearing a red jersey similar to that worn by
construction workers.
The victim said she had been driving from her friend’s dorm room on the
Nongjabtao route cutting to Route 331 when, near Big Buddha Mountain,
she realized she was being followed. She tried to outrun her pursuer,
but the suspect’s motorbike was faster and he caught up and kicked her
over.
Plutaluang police are coordinating with the Huay Yai and Najomtien
stations, as the crime occurred in an area of overlapping jurisdiction.
