Thai Life Insurance donated 3 million baht in beach umbrellas to vendors
on Jomtien Beach.
Sales manager Samran Topao presented the 3,000 umbrellas displaying both the
Thai Life logo and the Pattaya Call Center 1337 number to Deputy Mayor Ronakit
Ekasingh at the sports stadium on Thepprasit Soi 7 Dec. 4.
Vendors who pre-registered will receive at least nine umbrellas each as an
effort to bring order and cleanliness to Jomtien’s beaches.
The donation of umbrellas in Pattaya came as military and local officials around
Thailand have been outlawing and banishing umbrellas from public beaches.
Samran said the donation was aimed at not only advertising the insurance
company, but providing service to tourists by publicizing the free call center
information line.
