sixth-annual Naklua “Walking Street” market harkening back to the
community’s roots as a small fishing village.

politicians opened the sixth-annual Naklua “Walking Street” market
harkening back to the community’s roots as a small fishing village.
Nuntiya Swangvudthitham, director-general of the Department of Cultural
Promotion, joined Pattaya Mayor Itthiphol Kunplome, Banglamung District
Chief Sakchai Taengho, TAT Pattaya Director Suladda Sarutilavan, city
council members and community leaders at the Nov. 30 kickoff ceremony.
Themed “Sunset at Baan Naklua,” the market’s 4-10 p.m. opening included
a performance of “Amazing Suvarnabhumi,” based on the wonders of
Thailand and society, plus a concert from Gybzy of Girly Berry and Film
Rattaphum.
Naklua Walking Street will be open each Saturday and Sunday through Jan.
18 and each weekend will have cultural shows sponsored by the Ministry
of Culture.
Concerts scheduled include Tai Orathai on Dec. 13, Fon Thanasunthorn on
Dec. 20, Ying Thitikarn on Dec. 27, Takkatan Chonlada on Jan. 3, Leew
Ajareeya on Jan. 10, Alice Rsiam on Jan. 17 and the Jan. 18 closing
ceremony will feature Baitoey Rsiam.
