YWCA Family Warmth program
The YWCA’s program of providing funds to help needy
young people further their education was begun in 1990 to honour Her
Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirinthorn on the occasion of her
third cycle birthday.
This year, the Y will be holding its 7th program, ‘Family Warmth’. There
will also be a party to allow students who have benefited from the Y’s
education program to thank their benefactors. The scholar’s sponsors
will also have the opportunity to meet and talk with their proteges.
In Pattaya their are 187 students benefiting from this scholarship
program in 19 schools.
The YWCA of Bangkok-Pattaya received much generous help from the
Bangkok-Pattaya Hospital in organising this event. The hospital provided
the venue, snack foods and check-ups for the children. The youngsters
were also given drinking glasses, clothing, toothbrushes and toothpaste.
