Murder/rape in South Pattaya
Residents living near a watermelon farm on
Pattaya-Jomtien Road discovered the body of a naked woman lying in front of
a shack on the edge of the field.
Police responding to the report found the body of an unknown Thai woman,
aged approximately 35-40, naked and lying on its stomach. The victim had
received one stab wound in the stomach and another in the thigh, and had
been struck on the head with a blunt instrument and raped. She had also been
strangled. There were signs of a struggle.
Police do not know the details, but they surmise that the woman was a
prostitute and probably had an argument with her customer or customers.
Forensic physicians report the victim had been raped by no less than 2 men.
