At a meeting with the developers of the
Waterfront Suites and Residences, it was pointed out that there
were a few incorrect details published in last week’s Pattaya
Mail.
Tulip Group purchased Bali Hai Company Ltd. and the Waterfront
project in July 2011, complete with all EIA and construction
permit approvals already in place, as the applications were
processed and granted under the ownership of the previous owners
in 2008, and not Tulip Group. The construction of the project
began in September 2012.
Construction was halted (in August this year) due to a
modification of the design of the building’s staircase. The
modification request has been submitted, and construction will
resume once the issue of the staircase is cleared.
The developers stated that during a land inspection on Friday,
August 29, performed by Chonburi Land Department officials,
Banglamung District Branch officials and officials from Pattaya
City’s Engineering Department, it was found that the positions
of the landmark pins had not moved. The developers also stated
they had not encroached on to City land.
The developers are not currently facing any charges against
them, and the project has full EIA approval and construction
permit.
The developers told Pattaya Mail that they plan to
release an official statement in a near future.
