Pattaya has approved the spending of 96,000 baht to bring better vision
to 200 Pattaya residents.
The Social Welfare Department received approval for its annual “Relief Supplies
for the Disabled” project Aug. 25. Residents of each of Pattaya’s 42
communities, including 50 Pattaya students, will receive the spectacles during
an event on September 18.
While named a program to help the disabled, students traditionally also have
received glasses and other aid at the annual event. All recipients had to
preregister for the handout, with each community limited to a set number of
recipients.
