Police crack another
stolen bike ring
On October 3rd, Police Lt. Colonel Atthapon Ngarmnark and
a group of officers arrested a gang which had been stealing motorcycles in
Pattaya and taking them to Rayong for sale.
Pol. Lt. Col. Atthapon said the thefts had reached epidemic proportions. No
place in Pattaya was safe from these bike snatchers who operate both night
and day.
Police set up a stake-out and then followed the gang to their lair after
they had stolen yet another motorcycle. The gang was arrested in a rented
house in Rayong where Police were able to confiscate many motorcycles and
arrest 5 suspects.
The accused felons were taken to the police station for further
interrogation.
