Metharak Suntharod, president of the Walking Street Community, presided over
the Oct. 2 meeting with representatives from 44 Pattaya communities at city
hall.
Pattaya has laid out plans to construct a community market on the lower
floor of the Bali Hai parking lot. The board was set up to raise funds by
selling shares at 100 baht each with 300 shares allocated for each
community.
However, the budget was insufficient for decoration of the building,
additional construction and buying equipment.
Shareholders and officers attended the meeting to search for investors and
made announcements before raising 1.4 million baht by selling 14,130 shares.
