Immigration police rounded up a Russian fugitive hiding in
Pattaya and prepared to deport him home to face robbery charges.
Andrey Tsirp, 36, was captured Oct. 3 on Pratamnak Soi 6. Immigration
officers demanding his passport discovered Tsirp’s visa expired on Sept.
14. He’d arrived over land in Srakaew June 27 and had his
visa-on-arrival extended once.
Police said the Russian admitted to fleeing his home country due to be
wanted on a robbery charge. Officers charged him with staying illegally
in the kingdom and prepared to deport him.
