A 3 million baht speedboat dry-docked for more than a year was destroyed by
fire in an incident police are still investigating.
Firefighters took about 30 minutes to put out the flames at the NPSK Marine
Boatyard in South Pattaya Oct. 2.
Boatyard owner Sannon Klittiemmek said the vessel had been stored there by
one of her Bangkok friends for more than a year.
She claimed an electrical short in the building likely caused sparks to fall
on the boat’s canvas roof, setting the boat alight. However, police aren’t
so sure and are continuing to probe for a reason for the fire.
