‘Group of Seven” ready to hit campaign trail amid damaging allegations

The head of Kamnan Poh’s ‘group of seven’, or the candidates which he is supporting in the upcoming elections, stated that the group is ready to hit the campaign trail.

Sonthaya Khunpluem, leader of Kamnan Poh’s ‘group of seven’, says his troops are ready for the campaign trail.
Group leader, Sonthaya Khunpluem, says he has great confidence in the potential of the 6 Chonburi MPs and that the new additional member will be the jewel in their crown, being highly educated and having experience in party politics.
Sontaya went on to say that there was absolutely no truth to the rumour that the group had received 150,000,000 baht in support from the Chart Thai Party. He added that his group had experience in the government and business areas and certain erroneous news items had caused the ‘7’ quite a bit of damage. He stated further that the group had brought in over ten thousand million baht in revenue to the province.
Sontaya was asked about Prime Minister Banharn Silpa-archa’s policy regarding no limit on the number of members in any certain party. Sontaya said he agreed with the prime minister’s policy, and that the number of members in any party was not the important issue, but rather their ability to administer the country in a proper fashion.
There have been rumours that the group of Chonburi politicians were going to move their allegiance to whatever party has the most chance of leading the country’s next coalition, but the question remains unanswered.
