Tourist drugging approaches epidemic status

Beware of this woman! She has been caught drugging her lustful victims and robbing them.

Despite the recent Reuters report of the warning issued by local police that tourists in the resort are being robbed and killed after being drugged during sex with prostitutes, incidents of this type of crime is still on the rise. Prostitutes, both male and female, are drugging punters at such an alarming rate that the situation is beginning to reach epidemic proportions.

Sais Purvis, a tourist from Pakistan, became yet another victim of this type of crime. One of the “lucky” ones, Purvis lived to tell police that he had entered his room in the Palm Lodge Hotel with a Thai woman of about 20 years old, passed out and woke up about 15 hours later. He said that 2100 US dollars and 490 Hong Kong Dollars (about 60,000 Thai baht) went missing, along with the young woman.

A Police investigator examines a bottle of “mystery” liquid found behind the bathroom light fixture in the drugged tourists’ room.
Sais was still woozy when he gave testimony to the police. He said before taking the young woman to his room he had just come from the Serf Hotel in Bangkok. He said he was walking on the beach when the woman approached him to talk. He said she told him she would sleep with him for 500 baht. After entering his room with the girl, Purvis said he drank one glass of beer. After that he doesn’t remember a thing.
Tourist police examined his room and found a bottle of red liquid which appeared to be some type of medication. It was in back of the bathroom light fixture. It was sent to the scientific investigation division of the police department and found to be a tranquilliser.
Police don’t know who the woman was or where to find her.
